The little goat

This little goat, Negro, was just a couple of days old when his worried owners brought him to the clinic late one evening. He was the smallest of his litter, and had become very lethargic. He also had a high fever, and was not looking well. The Doctors have not had many goats in the clinic before, but were determined that Negro would get the best care possible. After Dr Carmen double checked all dosages in the literature, the Doctors gave the kid an injection of long-working antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory injection to lower the fever.

The young, caring owner agreed to bottle feed Negro so that he would drink enough to be able to get stronger and healthier. The little goat left in the arms of the little girl, on his way to recovery. He will return for a check up soon so that the Doctors can best follow his progress.

These efforts protect the unique native and endemic wildlife of the islands by reducing interactions between domestic and wild animals, which can cause the spread of invasive diseases.
